THE LAST NIGHT!
It was Friday night and the 12 year-old Mary was alone at home. Her parents had gone to her grandparents because they were sick. And her brother was at his friend’s house. The weather wasn’t good and outside, it was raining a lot. The thunder sounded strongly throughout the house.
Mary was in her bedroom, watching TV. She was a little bit afraid becausee it was the first time that she had been alone at home. But her parents had told her that they would be back soon and that everything would be fine. No one knew what would happen at the house that night…
Mary was watching a horror film. His parents had forbidden her to do that, but she didn’t hear them…BIG MISTAKE! While she was watching TV…suddenly…she heard a strange noise! But she thought that it had come from the TV. She continued watching the film when she heard again the same noise, but she didn’t pay attention to it.
Outside, the weather became worse. The wind shook the trees, the rain wasn’t stopping and in the other houses, the lights were off…like the beautiful town was suddenly deserted!
The house’s lights went off. Mary was scared. She phoned her parents and they told her that maybe it was because of the weather. They told her to light candles and stay in her bed because they would be back in a hour. Mary did what her parents had said and she sat in her bed, listeting to music.
While she was litening to music, she heard FOR THE LAST TIME that strange and scary noise again. She phoned her best friend to tell her what was happening at home, until her parents came back. Her friend, Helen, told her to go down the stairs and see what it was, from where the sound came. She ignored her parents advice and she didn’t stay in her bed.
She continued to speak on the phone while she was going down the stairs…As she was going down, she heard all the advice that her parents had told her. She was so scared, she started cry and she asked her friend if Helen had heard the same voice that she had heard. But…it was too LATE! As she was going down, a strong wind came, the phone cut off, the candles went out and…unfortunately…a big scream came from Mary!
Her parents called her to see if she was ok…but nobody answered. They were scared, so they decited to go home early and see what was happening. When they arrived home, they saw the tragic thing, that had happened in their house. Mary was DEAD! The stairs were full of blood, the living room too. Nobody could imagine that her fear of the night,would be the cause for her to lose her life!
They never learned what happened to Mary. They were always asking WHY!? Her parents left tis house because their pain for their child was too big. But the neighbours always hear at the same time, as Mary died, the scream of the unlucky girl, sweet Mary, every night!
