I was sure the old man who lived in the old house at the end of my street had a secret.He was strange and he always complained.All the children in the neighbourhood were scared of him.When they played football and the ball fell into his garden the old man was angry with them and he hid the balls in his cellar.

One day,three children saw him crying on the stairs of his house.Then, they went near him and they asked him why he was crying.After that, he started to tell the story of his family.His wife and his son died in a traffic accident.From then, he moved to our neighbourhood.He believed that one day,his son and wife would come back to the house, because they hadn't really died.

So, he collected the toys and the balls for presents for his son,ready for the day when he will come back home!JIMMY BARDAKIS.
